rad and in love

Hi Friends! We are so happy to share with you some photos from the wedding celebration of Nia + Mark.

Both being musicians and performers (Mark proposed to Nia one night on stage after a gig in front of a whole audience!!!!!), they had a unique vision for how their wedding would go down.

The nighttime ceremony took place at Nia's sister's Los Angeles home, on a stage over the swimming pool, surrounded by candlelight and stringed lights. Guests were seated on the other side of the pool on sofas, chairs and blankets thoughtfully strewn around the yard. The bridal party opened the procession by sheilding the bride from view with paper umbrellas. Such fun dramatic flair!!!!

During the ceremony, the bride and groom so thoughtfully honored family members; the groom's brother joined them onstage to light a paper lantern for their dad who had recently passed away, which naturally created a moment of silence as everyone watched the bright light disappear up into the dark night. After the couple exchanged rings, they invited their two sons on stage to present them with a pendant that was cut into 4 necklaces to represent their newly united family.

There was some serious dancing at the party, followed by sparklers and a bouquet toss through the sunroof of a limo before the bride and groom drove away into the night. Read more about it from Nia herself over on Style Me Pretty!
